Democrats in Denial?

As a longtime independent who has wanted better choices for President for many years, I have been watching the reaction of the Democratic Party and its supporters to the stunning victory of Donald Trump over Kamala Harris. I have been disappointed with what I have seen. Instead of seriously analyzing what went wrong, I have seen three primary reactions. First, a whole lot of excuses that I will not bother to detail here. Second, a chorus of people warning us of the "litany of horrors" that Donald Trump will now inflict upon America. And third, contempt for the "morally bankrupt" 73+ million people, who gave Donald Trump the first Republican win in the popular vote in 20 years. I would have hoped that the Democratic Party would be at least considering the possibility that policy differences had something to do with the end result. Hopefully, they will eventually wake up, look in the mirror and make 2028 a year of better choices and policy discussions instead of name-calling by both sides.
