Another Threat to Democracy

There has been a lot of talk lately from both parties about "threats to democracy". The good news is that our democracy is easily strong enough to survive and continue to prosper regardless of who wins this November's Presidential election. In the meantime we have now seen a primary process where millions of people have voted for two candidates as their standard bearers. One side continues to have that individual as their candidate while the other party does not. Was that the correct decision? It absolutely was, however, the end result is that one individual who millions of people voted for has now been cast aside and replaced by a different candidate selected by party elders in a smoke-filled room. Is that democracy in play? I don't think so. So stop arguing about who is the bigger "threat to democracy" and get back to educating the American electorate on the very different visions each party has for this great country and tell us what policies will be employed to achieve that vision. Americans are very wise and they will make the right choice if they are given clear options.
